Call #2

I called the number from the email and again got someone this time within the first minute. I have to asy I am shocked. Did AT&T staff up one rep for every iPhone sold??? So far I’m impressed.

Let’s see how well we go from here:

I started my call with Colby and I let her know about the email I received and she verified my info and stated that she needed to transfer me to another department so that the rate plan issue could be resolved.

Again within a minute she had me transferred to another AT&T representative (Ladan) and she verified all my info and then added my original plan into her system. She seemed to now what she was doing.

She informed me that she would be activating my phone shortly. Cool I might get this thing working tonight!!! :)

Sure enough she is asking for my IMEI number and ICCID number. Upon her entering the info into her system my iPhone started to come alive…..

It was now in the process of activation. She had me power down my iPhone and start it backup for it to take the activation.

The only issue left was the transfer of the phone number. Ladan attempted a few calls, but it kept ringing my old Treo. After a few more tries she stated that I may have to wait for Sprint to release the number to them.

That was acceptable, so I asked if she would wait while I connected the iPhone to iTunes and she was all for it. I connected the phone, sorry “iPhone”, this is not just a phone, and iTunes saw it and jumped right into the activation to where it asked for my iPhone name.

From this point I now had access to my iPhone and could start playing.

I was even able to make a test call out, but still have to wait for Sprint to receive calls.

I’m happy, it works. Now its play time!!!

Call length: 54 Minutes.
